The Canal in Langley

Readers of Around Langley will be familiar with the branch of the Grand Union Canal that goes from Uxbridge through Langley to Slough: we have covered the annual Canal Festival in past years, and one of our cover pictures is a drawing of a canal bridge by Michael Day.

Everyone may not be aware of how pleasant the canal walk has become in the past year or so, thanks in no small measure to the valiant group of volunteers who regularly clean the canal. The photograph below was taken of a swan, one of a pair, seen in the canal in April.

In keeping with our environmental theme, we would like to invite readers to submit to us their favourite digital photograph of the Canal. We will endeavour to publish in a later issue photograph(s) judged as excellent by the editorial team.
